6V generator ID and regulator ID

Anyone know what hudson application this is for?

also looking for a new regulator for the 37 PU and need to find out if this
is the right one -

Closest thing I see in the data is GGW-4801-S, used on '52-'54 Hudsons except Jets.

That regulator doesn't have the fourth terminal that connects to the "idiot" light, which would suggest it wasn't meant for a Hudson-built car. Original regulator for a '37 pickup would be Auto-Lite CBA-4003

GGW-4801-B is for 53 & 54 all Hudsons except Jet. The Jet used a GGW 4802-A and all were 45 AMP. There should be a blue oval tag on the generator to match the blue "electric auto lite company, Toledo Ohio" on the regulator. If you are using the GGW you must match it with the correct regulator. That is Auto-Lite VBE-6104-A or equivilant VR-25 or Vr-33, VR-22 or Vr-4 are ok but the Terminals are differant. Reg must be able to handle 45 Amp output. These are available at Napa or other places.

The only difference between the Jet and Step-down generators is the front pulley.
As stated in the Tech supplement for '53-'54 models, you can use a blue plate regulator only with the blue plate generator. However, this is for the factory setting. You could use a blue-plate regulator with an earlier generator if you re-set the current output to 35 amps or less.
