We'll be there Thursday afternoon, but need to leave Sat. Can't wait to see all our southern friends.0

The crowd is gathering. Will you be here? Plan on eating with us, tell me where? Bob P
First day, four 1947 Hudson Commodore coupe/convertibles pulled in (non were mine) and all were from the same HET club.0 -
Well, we tried. After fighting with our 52 for 2days, the timing gear gave out. I was warned about the fiber gears but who would have thought it would give out with 1000 miles on it. My 46 has a fiber gear and it has been good for thousands of miles, guess ill fix that too.
Oh well, l had it towed to a hotel where we spent the night. In the morning a nice guy named Tony, from Ronoke, a HET member in the Het help group, is going to pick it up and trailer it back to his place. Then he weill trailer it home on Saturday.
So all looks like it will work out. As
it stands now, I'll pick up a rental car and stop by be the meet on Friday for a bit. Hope this is a relaxing day. After the last 2 days, I need it. :S0 -
We made it to the KOA 'bout 11:30 AM Thursday..WENT BY THE HOTEL ON OUR WAY IN BUT DIDN'T SEE ANY HUDSONS. will Grab a bite to eat and stroll over.. If the rain co-operates.

Had a great time. Finally got the truck out to a meet
Met lots of great folks, and am able to put some faces to a lot more people on here as well as other HET members.
Looking forward to this years national even more now. WIll post some pics after I get them off my phone0 -
I agree with Matt, I had a great time. I met several people that I had talked to here, but NOW I can put a face to the Name! Attendance was down somewhat, due to the economy and the weather they had forcasted was wet and cold. They got it right on Thursday and Friday, Then Saturday was absolutely beautiful. Quite a few parts changed hands. And the Low Country Boil was a success as usual.

HELP! :woohoo:
I sent the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club "Welcome Center" banner to the Pigeon Forge meet with Carl Wennberg. I need to send the banner to Mike Cherry so that he can take it to Laughlin, Nevada for the economy run this weekend, but I can't get in touch with Carl. I called the motel Sunday morning but he had already checked out and he does not answer his home phone. If he is headed back to Maryland he may be hampered by the snow. If someone has Carl's cell phone number could you please send it to me at my email address HETForkner@aol.com (drop the HET). If someone else ended up with the banner please call me or send me an email ASAP so that I can give you instructions to get it sent to Mike Cherry.
Thanks for your help
