Have a nice pair of oil bath air filters? :)

    Michael-

    I've only got 1 left.
  • Only one seems a little odd. Is there a good story that goes along with that?

I have no reference for what these parts are worth. I like the idea of having a spare "52 to '54 Grille Emblem, NOS" for the future, but I have no idea of the value.

No story, really . . . Occasionally, I come across someone's "stash" of parts and usually buy everything they'll sell. For some reason, one of those cache's had 3 oil bath filters and 1/2-a dozen dry-element filters. Two of the oil baths have been taken apart, blasted, cleaned, de-dented, and primed for the 'vert. Thus, I have one more on the shelf.

Those emblems can be had from K-Gap for $90.00. The quality is good, but I personally don't like the look of them, as the "red" area is very dark, and not translucent enough like the originals.

The one pictured only has some light scratches that could be buffed out. I'd say it's a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. I have $150.00 in it, so wouldn't let it go for less than that. It's a bargain at any price, because in 10 years they'll probably be selling for $500.

I sold an NOS grill emblem on Ebay a few months ago for $300. I agree that the repos don't look as nice as the originals.

That's a great price! I'd like it to go to someone who will use it. That's more satisfying than having it just sit on the parts shelves.
