I dunno. I have some tranny parts from a 39 electric hand that you're welcome to. Where is it located and do you have a pic?0

If Uncle Josh can't help you, I'm pretty sure that I have one. I have to figure out which piece it is and if I have a spare one. I am suprised that a commercial vehicle would come equiped with an Electric Hand?? I guess it could have been an option?0

Richard,
In my original Commercial Vehicle brochure, it has a whole page on a delivery van with an electric hand. I think that was one of the applications it designed for, stopping and starting a lot in town.0 -
It was part of all electric hand systems. A safety to keep you from starting car without depressing clutch. Sort of like safety on new cars that keeps you from starting without foot on brake. Here are pictures.

G'Day Dave,
I had one of those on our 1942 Vacumatic and found it a real pain in the rear end if you were working on the car you had to have some one in the car with their foot on the clutch so you could start the car or what ever you were working on, I disconnected mine for ease of use.My two bob's worth.0 -
Dave, that's not a circuit breaker it's an interlock switch to keep the starter from activating with the clutch engaged. It would be between the starter switch and the solenoid, electrically that is.0

I know it is an interlock switch, but picture in mechanical procedure calls it clutch circuit breaker.:)0 -
O.K. if that's what they call it!0
