37 shifter lever color?

Just went thru the trans for the 37 pu. Now ready to paint the housing and have a question, what color should the shifter lever be? Same as the tranny or just natural metal color?

    Original was just natural metal color. It's hard steel, so it won't rust.

    thanks guys, now I need a shifter knob- anyone have one or a picture so I can see what it looks like?
