private message

I have tried to use the private message button and have no idea if it has been sent or not. There is only an X in the upper right and doesn't appear to be a send feature, can anyone advise me what I have to do to send a private message.:)

    sorry do not see a 'send' or 'cancel' button at bottom right:(
