Undercoating- To trust or not to trust- is the ?
Been working more on deconstruction and have a question if it is wise to trust the original undercoating!?! I hadn't planned on removing the rear fenders since the undercoating on the inside of the trunk and interior of the Hudson looked still good for the age. When i remove the interior undercoating, the metal is nice new and still clean and shiny! Here are some pics! Throw some opinions my way!! Thanks Brian
PS- I do plan on removing and replacing all the undercoating on the undercarriage and as a proud new daddy, the last pic is of the youngest Hudson enthusiast in our family!!

I'd check to see if undercoating is flaking away. If not, and yours looks fine, at least what we can see in the photo, leave it alone. If there are some localized areas where rust seems to be coming through, chip it off and replace it.
I've had generally poor results undercoating babies. The mothers never seem to really buy into the advantages of the added protection, in my experience.0
