'46 RADIO & TRIM PIECE
Having a ball bringing up my '46 pickup. Learned a lot about Hudson at the California Meet from a whole lot of neat people. Now I've hit a small stumbling block (challenge). I sure there is a Hudsonite on the forum that lives and breathes Hudson "Radios". The radio I got with the pickup is missing knobs and the vibrator, and the faceplate need a little TLC. What I'd really like would be a 12v transistorized version, with a re-done faceplate. Is this possible, or am I just smoking funny stuff.
Next, I'm looking for a small Hudson emblem located at the center/bottom of the dash, and the small trim strip directly below the radio bezel about 1 1/2 wide and width of the radio bezel. I'm so new with Hudson, I don't even know what to call them. I attached a pic or the emblem. Any help would be appreciated, and anyone having one for sale would be even better. When I get this pickup fininshed it'll be replacing the 1910 Model T Touring on my log-in profile.....Byron

Actually, this is a legitimate "Hudson" inquiry so you might want to post it on the "regular" Hudson Forum, not in the "Discussion" offshoot of the Hudson Forum. More people will see it that way.0

Hi Byron
Marconi may help with the radio issues.
I got my center/lower emblem from Bill Albright, give Jason a call.
I believe I have the other part below the radio if interested PM me.
Good to hear from another Hudson PU owner. Mine is a 1947.
Good luck.

Hey Lee:
Thanks for getting with me. Now I gotta plead stupid, as I don't even know what "PM" means. I'm just an old retired working stiff that likes to work on old cars. I figure I'm doing good knowing how to turn on this here computer. Gave up on the radio and modifing a 2nd grill piece for a modern radio, didn't come out to bad. I have no idea who either Bill Albright or Jason are or how to find them, or where their phone numbers might be hidden. I would be interested in your lower trim piece, but then I don't have any idea what it looks like, I just know there is a hole that need to be covered up. Give me a price and I'll square up with you. My zip is 95148 to figure shipping costs. Thanks........Byron (wacoykc@hotmail.com)0 -
Sorry about that Byron. I assumed you new. I will contact you.

Byron,
You are looking for information regarding a Hudson, and the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club is looking for members, a perfect match. If you give me your full name and address I'll get the latest issue of the White Triangle News sent right out to you along with a membership application for the club. The White Triangle News has classified ads where you can search for that elusive part you need. There are chapters all over the U.S.A., that are part of the Hudson network. Attending one of the local meets will put you in touch with other people who have found that Hudson was the greatest motor car ever built.
