Sta-bil vs Sea Foam

A few years ago I started using "Sea Foam" rather than "Sta-bil" and have developed a preference for the former additive. Since using Sea Foam we have never had a problem starting any of the engines that were idle during the winter months. Since many HETer's have used both products I would be interested in knowing what their experiences reveal?

I have used Sta-Bil for years and have also had no problems.
At one ounce fer two and a half gallons it seems pretty economical too.
Use it in my mowers as well as my Huddy.
Did my best this summer to use non-ethanol added fuel and she seemed to really like that as well!

I've used Sta-Bil since 1999 and never had a problem. My Hornet sometimes sits for three or four months at a time, and she has never failed to start. I also use CD Lead substitute, for the valves.

i have used sta-ble for 30 years. i have recounted in other threads here my experience with a boat in storage for 6 years..30 gallons of alcohol gas..gas was perfect after 6 years. i'm sold on sta-ble.
in regard to bob's comment about the lead additive..also in 30 years i have never seen a reputable, well researched article that supports the need for a lead additive, but have seen many that say you don't need it. skinned knuckles restoration journal have published several over the years. regards, tom0 -
We have cars that have the same fuel in them for years, and we don't have problems either. Can it be that all that stuff is a ripoff? We don't use any addatives.0

"Knock on wood", but I have never used an additive either. As yet, I have never had a problem... Years ago though (20 - 30 yrs), when trying to resurrect a car that had been sitting for years, I would often find "goop" in the gas tank.
