6V Alternator

I'm about to place the order for a 6V alternator from 5th Ave Internet Garage, but the instructions they post with the part description says I need to switch the battery polarity back to neg ground. Will this be acceptable? I like my AM radio, etc.

If you want a 6 volt 53 amp output, you need to start with a 105 amp 12V alternator.
