Why not Hudson

  • Thanks guys, once you drive one you are hooked. Another funny thing that happened the first night is I was determined to get past Ottawa before I stopped for the night. I was on the freeway that kind of takes you around downtown Ottawa. It was just starting to get dark and people were speeding like crazy, and I mean speeding. Well cars would come up behind me and both sides and then shoot by but all the while trying to look at the Hornet. Now I am hot footing it as well so the look of a long low Hornet must have been hypnotic. Guys were flying by but not keeping their eyes on the road. I swear we saw almost 10 near accidents with guys almost running up the back of other cars.

I was glad to get out of there.

The picture was taken by my brother day 1 about 1 hour on the road. Clear sky an original Hornet survivor, pure magic. If you haven't driven a Hudson with an original powertrain you don't know what you're missing. These cars were total hotrods from the factory. 50 years on and 84,000 miles on the clock and I am still screaming along.

Happy Hudson Holidays to all as well.....

I haven't even ridden in one yet let alone drive one!

I'll have to live vicariously through your stories for a little while longer...
