In my travels thru Hudson documents I came across a bulletin - let's hope I get this right - telling of hand controls being available thru the Hudson factory. As I recall it was for the Hudson Jet - I do remember that somewhere in the bulletin they said this was being done for disabled vets. I'll look thru my indexes and see if I can find that bulletin.
