Generator is not working. There is only one wire hooked up, although there are two wiring posts. Are both of these supposed to be hooked up and where do they go?????

My Hudson is 12 volts (with an alternator), so have never looked closely at a 6 volt Hudson setup. But generally, the larger terminal on the generator (often marked A, for armature) wire goes to GEN terminal on voltage regulator; smaller terminal marked F (field) goes to the FLD terminal on regulator.

If your regulator has differently marked terminals on the voltage regulator, let us know what they are, and we can probably figure it out.
