Val, what about the guy in Calgary you put me on to. I talked with him today and he has supposedly sold the car but still has it for wont of money. He has the gbdoor for my friend if the guy doesn't show.
As Geoff says, 'they're made of unobtanium'..I heard about one guy laser cutting a pair out of aluminum, stainless or something.
I sold a pair, pits, broken and all on eBay 6 mo ago. for something like $150
I tried to sell em here on the forum for $2200 and throw in a 39 CC 6 and a 39 CC 8 parts car. No takers.
I sold the 6 to a friend who now has it on the road. The 8 was pretty much toast so I scrapped it, rebuilt the motor for my pickup, and saved tranny, rear end and drums
Good luck.0 -
U.J. are these for the 112 series, if so I have a pair here in Australia, don't know what they would cost to ship, we only have one 112 here in Oz and the guy does not want them for a spare.0

I was at a shed raid yesterday, here in west Auckland and looked up on a wall and there was a Terraplane Grill hanging with a light behind it as a wall light and it only had a couple of bent pieces (still there) around the crank hole, I think it was a mid thirty's 1
the one with the mesh setup on the sides and vertical bars in the center
would have taken nothing at all to make it mint, even the chrome was there and that had only 1 small dent in it, all that was missing was the badge and mascot at the top, think it was the 1 with the red cigar in it
just looked yes a 36 grill

Looks like Val has a Series 92 Country Club 6. These had the horizontal bar side grills.
The Series 90 (112) had the verticle bar side grills0 -

Uncle Josh, I spoke with the fellow in calgary and no dice. I called bill and charlies and spokew with chip and he says he may have them but will have to check and will get back with me. I havent had my Hudson a year yet so am still knd of new to the cara nd the brand. But I remember my grandfather always talking about Hudson and how they were the best cars on teh road back then and he owned a few of them including a 39. SO that is where I got my passion. I want to put her back all original.0
