Pretty good buy, at this point, if you want a hot rod- most of the "heavy lifting" is done- underside looks pretty clean.

That being said, could you move the post to the Street Rod section, to spare us a lot of moaning and hand-wringing?

I did my best with my limited computer understanding. It moved to the Street Rod section but it didn't remove it from the Hudson section.

    Have a good day

Just checked the Hudson section. It's gone now. Thanks to whomever did it.

Built over a 4 year period. Built as a tire burner, street racer/drag strip. Less than 5 miles since restoration. Only driven to test working order. AS IS - NO WARRANTY

CAN WE ASSUME IT DIDN'T WORK TOO GOOD?

Now, Tom, play nice- this is on the Street Rod board, after all. . . ;)

I am with you Mike, this looks like a good start. If it is rust free it could be a worth while project.

    FYI

Take it from me, a lot of Time, labor & money went into modifying that Hudson into a real 'sleeper'....The owner apparently had a goal but something serious like loss of job or divorce must have happened to want to sell after doing all that work..

The 4 corner Coil Overs, Sub Frame connector, NASCAR rear suspension with long trailing Arms, and complete Mustang 11 front End would make an ideal Race Car with the addition of Roll Bar. I like the Patina image and hope they get a decent price to at least cover the Equipment and some of their labor.....

You never know, it depends on the quality of the work that was done.
I purchased a 61 Studebaker Hawk Street Rod that the owner had put 28,000.00 into and supposedly only needed upholstery to finish. Looked great in pictures and good in person and wanted less than half. Studebaker Forum members were foaming at the mouth at what a nice car it was! Wish I hadn't paid attention -----
I wound up having to re-do the entire car including floor and trunk pan that was covered up with rust proofing (over the rust), rebuilt the just rebuilt engine and had to go into the transmission and rebuild part of the wiring harness that caught on fire as the builder didn't put an in-line fuse in the electric fan circuit. The only thing I didn't have to get into was the Winters 9" rear end.
I now call it the Cursed Purple Hawk.
I could have built a car from scratch for less than I put into it.
  • @chopperchuck To copy those pictures from the eBay site, click on them to make them big, and then right-click on the picture. Take the Save As option, and you can copy the images to a folder on your computer.
