Sure appears to be a '30 or '31 Ford Model A sedan, with some pretty extensive "massaging". Fenders are not, however.

Dunno, I like rods as well as the next guy, but the "rat rod" thing just doesn't "speak" to me, somehow. I think if you're going to go to all the work of building a car, it should end up pretty.

time to open a cam of worms! i kinda like it.
A lot of so-called rat rod are just plain ole junk thrown together to make a car/truck, BUT when they take a pretty descent vehicle & cut it up to make it look like crap,,,well thats where i have the problem,i don't do to many car shows-but last year me & my 17yr son stopped at one & there was a early 30's Dodge Bro's truck it was very obvious he had taken a side grinder W/ a cut off wheel & sliced it up & welded it back together with half assed welds, & WTF is with welding tools & chains to every bloody thing?? i belong to a modern rat rod club & we push SAFETY & function over looks.i see some real scary crap coming out of some of these idiot's minds! my hudson build is kinda classified as a rat {until i paint it} i could go on forever about this rat rod faze----most of it i can't wrap my head around it!

OK,seriously would you call this a 'rat rod?' well it is!
take a scrapyard special pile & mix it with a junk S10 & have a daily driver for less than a couple grand.

I personally won't call your truck a rat rod, its a work in progress, i know that mine didn't look much more than that at 1 stage, and there plenty of potential there
they had another 1 there that I didn't get a photo of
that looked like 1 but the work that had gone into was unbelievable, had extended all the guards so the tyres looked like the suspension was bagged but it wasn't the head lights 35 or something had been recessed in the side of the front guards, could have fitted straight into a bat man movie
looking forward to seeing that 1 painted as that is what is going to happen with it
