That will help me out. Provided spell check can figure out what I am trying to say... Ok, I give up, where is the spell check icon?

Try mis-spelling a word in your post. A red squiggly line will appear underneath the mis-spelled word. Right click on the squiggly line and you will get a choice of words to use that represent the correct spelling.
  • I have autocorrect setup in my browser and its working here now. Which is sweet.

Maybe Sean has it right. You have to have it set up on your browser . . . I'm not tech-savvy enough to know if that's how it works.

here is what it looks like when your spell check works. Also on your browser menu look for "Spelling and Grammar" you can choose "correct as I type"

Where do I find "Brouser Menu?"
  • Depends on what browser you are using. It will be a menu option. In Safari its under edit menu. In Firefox its under preferences and the advanced tab. In Chrome its under edit menu. I do not know where it is in Internet Explorer.

That explains the spellcheck I have: I use Mozilla Firefox. Supposedly, more tamper proof than IE. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I've had zero problems with the new forum, as well.

I went on the link page and went through the four pages of accelerators and could not find one for spell check. I added one for dictionary but it does not seem to work?

My spelling is normally fine. It's the typing that gets me. I leave out (or reverse) letters.... What I need is voicetype. Is there such a thing?
  • The "Dragon NaturallySpeaking" software program gets better each release. I've tested it in the past, and it does pretty well.

Could not find a spell check cause I'm french speaking usually and my computer has a
french spell check, meaning that all the words I write are underlined in red. If I look at the words suggested, they are all french ones... The best way I found to improve my english is reading your comments on the forum. So, if you use your spellcheck, it will help me a lot! Thank you all! Michel
