What are these - where do they go - are they Hudson?
I am hoping someone can tell what these items are. They were in the boxes of parts that came with my '50 Pacemaker.
Are they Hudson? If so, what are they and where do they go; if not, I can stop looking for a place to put them!!
They measure 5 1/2" x 7 1/2". I am sure you guys can solve this puzzle for me.
Thanks
Alistair

Alistair-
Not positive, as they look slightly different than mine (maybe '50 is different than later years), but in the engine bay, on the inside of the frame, underneath the firewall, were corner pieces bolted in to divert water down (rather than back). These pieces look like they could be the same, just slightly larger than later years.0 -
Those look to me like the metal filler plates that go in the wheel well behind the rubber flap near the bottom on or below the firewall area,

Many thanks guys for the lead. I will investivate that area on the weekend. That area has all been reassembled by the previous owner so I imagine I may need to access from underneath.

Hi all
I have looked and hunted for a place as suggested above but cannot find any logical (to me anyway) place for these. No screw holes in the right spacing either.
Would someone have a picture or diagram from a manual or a photo from a car would even be better - fingers crossed. Thnaks in advance.

my picture is pretty bad, (i cannot get my flash to work on my droid) so im laying under the front of the car looking back towards the driver side. Im pulling the mud flap forward and your triangle mystery piece is laying right there horizontally along the side of the frame rail.
hope that helps.

Schillaz, I appreciate your effort and I will have a good look at that area after work today. I have looked around that area many times and nothing seemed obvious. I will let you know what I find.

Eureka! The funny angle they are mounted made it confusing. Just need to get some suitable self tapping screws and they will be fitted.
Thanks to all who helped with this mystery.0 -
Well it looks like you have this figured out. But I want to see if I can attach a photo. Plus, my '51 looks to have never been apart and I think this little metal piece is intened to support the bottom of the rubber mud flap with the one screw that has the big washer on it.
Picture showing what we are looking at, then a couple of steps closer.

Yep, that's it. Those corner pieces started out big. By '52, they were half that size.0
