Anyone Know this Car?
I was wondering if anyone my know who has this car? I know it was at the 2011 Orphan Auto Picnic in Chicago.

Any help would be great. I have contacted the local HET club in Chicago and no one knows. I have also contacted the person who puts on the auto picnic, but he said it is a drive-in so there isn't any record of who was there. Thanks,
Jarrett

You might check with the club's Registrar for the '47s, Lew Bird in TX. hetlewbirdtx@aul.com. (remove the het for actual adress)0

I'll bet he's a member of the Chicago-Milwaukee chapter of the Club...or at least he may be known to them. Why not contact them (there's a link to various chapter contacts at the Club website, http://www.hetclub.org/ )

This looks like the 47C8 that belonged to Al James, a Chicago-Milwaukee Chapter member who died last year. when he became ill, Al sold his cars and this one went to one of his young neighbors who helped Al with his cars and showed an interest in Hudsons. That is the story behind the car but I don't know the owners name. Perhaps my fellow Chicago-Milwaukee chapter members can shed more light on the owners name.-Terry0

Hmmm... That is very odd. I have already contacted the President of the Chicago-Milwaukee Chapter with this same picture and info, and was told that no one has ever seen this car before??? Maybe I'll try again and drop Al James' name.0

Contact John O'Halloran. He and Al were good friends and John has alot of knowledge about the cars in the Chicago-Milwaukee area. I must correct my earlier post. If this is Al's car it is a C6 not an Eight. Before Al bought it ,the car was owned by Ralph Fontana also from the Chicago area.

John is a member of the Chicago-Milwaukee chapter. He's also the HET Club Librarian, so you'll find his contact information in the White Triangle News.0
