I have been passing the word around among my internet friends that I am looking for a Convertible. Preferably on the East coast since I am in Florida. Thought I might as well put the word out here too. All leads appreciated... What have you?

Did you get the flyer that Marvin Snyder is selling his two Hornet Convertibles? June 23 in Ames, Iowa.

There is one in the WTN this month.

I didn't get the WTN because my dues were not paid in time. Guess I missed that issue.

Funny that the two Hudsons have the same serial numbers. But any of the two would be very nice in my garage. Good Luck Super Dave, hope you get your hands on one of them. Will give you a chance this time and won't bid... Michel

Thanks for all the encouragement. Any donations? LOL...I sure would like to find one within a day or two travel. I am gun shy of buying without seeing in person. My $$ is not limitless !!
There is a 49 Super 6 Conv offered by a dealer in Ohio. Has a 491 serial number (also very low production numbers). It has all commodore trim with a 308 twin H, Hydra-Matic etc. It appears to have a white or cream colored upper and lower dashboard. Maybe covered in vinyl ?..Why would someone do that? For a modified car it seems a bit high. I have corresponded with the dealer but he knows very little about the car. I have a suspicion that this is a fabricated car. This car has as lot in common with some that Gene Ramsey has built. Meaning it didn't start life as a convertible. I have suggested that we could do a trade for my 49 (shown in the avatar). Still waiting for an offer. It's been about a week since I sent 20+ pics. The silence is deafening...If I can find a good candidate, I'll offer my 49 For Sale at GB. Don't have enough garage space for two Hudsons and a Model "A" Ford. No.. I won't part with Sapphire, my first car bought in 1956!

I have recieved several offers of help from the forum, both on and off line.. thanks guys.

    Thanks John I'll email you.

Russ, I have set a limit of 35K, If I can sell my 49, then I'll have a little more. I don't mind a project but too damn old to start from scratch. It would be nice to have an automatic, but been driving stick since 1956, so ....
