Twin H filters for 1953 Hudson Super Wasp
I just purchased a 1953 Hudson Super Wasp at the Kalamazoo regional Hudson meet. I'm now going over the car checking out the various items from the radio, to the brakes to the Twin H carburetors. The Twin H system is completely new to me and I noticed that there are paper filters in the Twin H filter housings. Are these common paper filters that can be purchased at some place like Napa?

Dan,
Try NAPA Gold #2110. They fit perfect in the base but are a tight fit into the cover. I bevel the edge of the rubber gasket with a die grinder to make it a taper fit for the cover.

Some of the choices are (in addition to Johns), AC A5C, WIX 42110, Fram CA 101 K/N E-2550 Check out Rock Auto for great prices. Ron0

Congrats on your new purchase @1049superg. I looked the car over pretty good at the regional meet as I have a super wasp also. The car looked like a nice solid car.

Thanks, Ron and John, for the suggestions on paper filters for Twin H!

Rich, the Super Wasp I purchased at Kalamazoo is indeed a very solid car not to mention the upholstery is in remarkably good condition for a car almost 60 years old. It shows just under 51,500 miles on the odometer. I'm use to a 232 engine from my '50 Pacemaker and the extra horsepower from the S. Wasp's 262 really makes quite a difference in performance on the road.0
