Wanting to get the engine and trans painted before I set the body back on the frame. What are the correct colors for them. Someone has painted the intake and the oil pan satin silver and the water pump blue, but the rest is original and rusty! Thanks

The engine and trasmission are mostly silver. Exceptions are the fan pulley and blades, the valve covers and breather pipes* and the electricals ... starter, generator, coil, distributor, and the "loom" for the spark plug wires. Dupli-Color's 500 degree engine paint in "Aluminum" color, is an excellent match to the original finish. Don't lay it on too heavy ... you want to see the grain of the castings.

    * There's some ambiguity on the valve cover plates ... some ads and service manual photos show them black, but I'm not really sure if they were.imageimage

Rick, here it is with the rotisserie parts in place. I sketched this out and had it welded up back in the mid-nineties. Based on a pair of stands from Northern Tool or Harbor Freight, it's been very handy. Will handle a six or eight, with or without transmission.imageimage
