• The source provided by kc does not include 1954;
this source, Auto Cuty Classic, Inc., has more than
just windshields. Frome their website,

"We stock 1000's of windshields from the mid 1940's through
the 1970's for classic cars and trucks, as well as vent glass,
door glass, quarter glass, back glasses and tailgate glasses. All
makes and models.

We offer several tints, the original clear, original EZ-eye green
tint and a custom smoked grey. Our custom smoked grey looks
great on street rods. This of course was not an original option,
but when doing a custom it's a nice option to have.

Our experts can also date code your glass to specifically
coincide with the build date of your vehicle. This adds that final
touch of originality and is a must for vehicles that will be judged.

To inquire about your classic car or truck, please e-mail us at
sales@autocityclassic.com or call us at 800-828-2212. We
look forward to hearing from you."

• auto city classic.com is out of the 54's now; their source
is Iowa Glass (sales@iowaglass.com). I have e-mailed
them and will update the Forum when I hear back from them.
Am attempting to get them to send a rep to the Natls
since the theme car is 1954.

• Continuing, I rec'd this e-mail:

John,
I can have these windshield produced provided I have an original (condition not important as long as it will hold
its shape) to send for tooling. I would also need to know if they are needed in clear or shaded and how many
could be used. Cost would depend on quantity. My guess is in the $500 range. Please let me know if anyone
can help with a tooling sample (not returnable) and I can see about getting some produced. Lead time ranges
from 3-6 months. Thanks for the interest.

It would be good if someone has a spare/useless windshield for a 54 Hudson so Rick can get this source
up-to-speed for those who will eventually need the 54 windshields. Any volunteers? Cheers. laugh.gif
• I tried doing this about one year ago on this forum. I had no people interested in getting a 1954 windshield made. The guy from Iowa actually had relatives in my town and we discussed picking up an faded, not useable windshield from me. I have a couple that could be used.

I dont think you will find any takers, seems to be enough out there I quess. Plus nobody wants to spend the money.

• Last Fall Phillips Classic Auto Glass in Poplar Bluff, Arkansas had a NOS '54 tinted windshield along with some Jet windshields and NOS split windshields. He may also have '54 NORS by now. Ask for Vick at 1-573-785-1927, FAX 1-573-776-6148 or E-mail at www.classicglass@semo.net. There are two warehouses crammed full of glass, much of it NOS.
