Need Sources

Does anyone happen to have a good source for a complete set of trim clips for all stainless steal trim on a '47 C8 Sedan?
More importantly does anyone know What sizes I need, number of clips? How many clips does it take to fill all those holes in the body? I 'd like to think someone who restored a sedan took the time to write some of those dimensions down even if they made their own trim clips ????????????
Also Does anyone have a source for light bulb socket ends? You know, the ones that solder to the end of the wire which a 6V light would make contact with when plugged into the socket???? I imagine they come with the little round discs too...or maybe just the entire light bulb socket with a spring for the bulbs that you solder into your wiring harness??? Hope I'm making sense. Any help is appreciated.

Aaron, I can help with the electrical sockets, but you need either K-Gap for retainers or Dellis Hudson in Michigan.0

I would suggest taking a piece of each size trim to an auto paint supply house.
They usually have a large assortment of nylon or plastic retainers that will work.
With the trim removed ,you should see some indication of where the retainers were and be able to count out what you need.
There are also universal metal retainers , but you may develope a rust problem later.0 -
I do have the old sockets and I suppose could re-use them but the contacts for the bulbs that are soldered on the end of the wire, those I would need at the very least. Drilling out the old ones and putting them back on the wire would be rather tedious and surgical. LOL
On the trim, it's all off the car now - I'd like to use nylon/plastic retainers if I can get them in exact size. I don't know those sizes dimensions are? Galvanized/stainless/coated retainers for the trim are acceptable. I would rather not use retainers though that require me to enlarge the existing trim-retainer-holes that the factory put there. This is especially true of the thin stainless trim around the side windows. I don't know where I would get the kind of clips Hudson used for that??? They're tiny. Then there's the really big ones that hold the fat side Rocker trim on the '47. The old ones were not all there and too busted up to use.
I'll look into the auto paint supply house thing.

My friend Bill found that plastic screw anchors are just right for holding the hood trim on our 40 Hudsons. Browse your hardware store. also, restorationspecialties.com in Winber Pa has a lot of that stuff, and an online catalog, and will work with you.0

Contact YnZ's yesterday's parts at 1-909-798-1498. We just got 3 harnesses from them and they have all the parts. Walt0
