Source for Brass Fittings
I'm looking for a couple brass fittings used on Twin H fuel line and the choke tube. One connects the carter glass bowl to the brass tee going to the front carburetor and the other is the choke tube brass coupling with ferrell. Does anyone have these or what is the specification so I can look for them? I think the fuel line conntector is called a Fuel Line Adaptor Eaton #1514 but I'm not positive. One end would be 1/8" NPT. Thanks for any help or suggestions. Doug

Hey Doug,
I am not familiar with exactly what you need, but online at www.mcmastercarr.com has just about ANYTHING you could want. Give that a try.
If nothing else you might find a way to 're engineer' it there!
Good luck,

Thanks Jeff, I did buy the manifold studs for the carburetors from McMastercarr and would use them again. They are about the most reasonable of the online distributors. Hoping someone here would have these fittings or know the specs. I tried Grainger here locally and they ordered the 90 degree brass fitting for the back carb. Seems Eaton has the market on most of these fittings with their Weatherhead line. There may be substitutes out there however.0

Doug,
I would think a good NAPA store would have what you need, that's where I got my brass fuel line fittings.

Yeah think these are readily available through either of these sources though the napa I use hasnt been much help. I do see all this on mcmastercarr after considerable digging so thanks for that suggestion. More learning for this rookie.0

Carter glass sedimet bowl is 1/8 pipe on each. You'll need 1/8 pipe X 5/16 fittings. You'll need both straights and 90s'. Weatherhead is bout only source left for these pieces. There was a parts store by me that had W'head cabinets and could get whatever I needed, but went outa business. Call around and ask if they carry W'head or can get them. I've had a stash of em for years but very low on them.
Hope this helps.

Kim, thanks that does help. Imperial Supply here in Huntsville recently went out of business after many years and they had the weatherhead cabinets and also could make up any hoses you would need. Miss them already.0

I did a search online for weatherhead and found this at discounthydraulics.com
http://www.discounthydraulichose.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=weatherhead&Search.x=17&Search.y=16
I have purchased from them before and was very happy with them.0 -
That is a good site and very user friendly and good prices. Some of the sites are very high prices and high shipping and handling. Thanks!0

Question: I'm at the end of my search and still cant find the right brass fitting to connect the carter glass bowl to the twin H carburetor. It would be the fitting that would connect between the Tee on the left and the glass bowl, see picture. Maybe there is another fitting that would work other than the Tee but I sure cant find one in any catalog. Appreciate if someone could throw this rookie a bone. I really want to incorporate the glass bowl in the Twin H setup and get this one one step closer to back on the road. Thanks!0

Doug,
I think I know what fitting you need.
It looks to be a 5/16" flare X 1/8/npt,
I hope that you can find one.
Hope this helps!

John, that would be the one! I have contacted one of our vendors who is sending what I need to connect the bowl to Twin H. I'm guessing this is what he's sending. Thanks for confirming it exists, I was going crazy looking for it. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right places but sure didn't see it listed anywhere. Doug0

Not to hijackyour post, but are the original ceramic filters still available? I too, am adding the filter to my Twin-H, and look to have everything except the filter. Thanks!0
-
Ceramic filters are availabe look on eBay or Lance Walker probably has one. Paper filter inserts are available I recently found out, I know napa has them. That's what I'm going with so I know its clear. The old ceramic ones aren't always as clean as they look, the pors that is.0
