Anyone have a source for a Voltage gauge for 6 v system? Brand and P/N?

The first place I would start looking would be a tractor parts supplier. Also Mack Truck used 6 volts for a very long time after everyone else switched to 12 volts.
  • That wont help - he asked for a Volt Meter, Thats a 20 + or - Amp Meter

If he wants an "AMP" meter try a Model A Ford supplier

To complement the warnign lights on the Pacemaker I got 2" diameter VDO ammeter and oil pressure gauge and mounted in a double gauge bracket under the dash. I went for black with white markings and to my eye does not look out of place. Main feed via the ammeter and that then feeds all circuits as normal; put a tee where the oil switch goes so have gauge and light.
I picked the components up from our local auto electrical place (conveniently owned by a neighbour).
Works well, look good and gives peace of mind.

Looking for Volt gauge for 6 V system, not Amp gauge. Also, will it need to be specific for pos. ground?

Tractor supplier might work. I hadn't thought about that. My son told me Napa sells tractor supplies. I'll check it out.

I already tried Auto Meter and Stewart Warner. Neather make for 6V.

  • I dont see why a 12v gauge wouldnt read 6 volts just fine. It would just go up to the 6 volt mark.

Lee, the pos and neg terminals on these gauges are well marked ... just connect it accordingly.
