Walt's Garage Catalog? Also, oil filter question...

Hello Walt and All,

As I continue to make slow but steady progress with my new '52 Hornet I keep coming up with items I need. Today I'm thinking about the oil filter assembly. The housing is there but the hoses are gone. I was searching the forum hoping to find information on what hoses to get but instead I found comments about Walt's filter conversion kit.

I could use help with a couple of questions:

1 - Is there a catalog of parts/kits available from Walt?
2 - If for some reason I decide to stay with the original oil filter housing, can I just use fuel a hose with correct size fittings?
3 - Since the hoses are gone in my car, which hose goes where?

Thank you,
Jairo.

  • Walt here. The original filter only filters about 1/4 of the oil that is sent to it. Oil comes in the side hole and exits through the center pipe, check it close and it has a 30 thousand hole half way down. Do not use gas line hose, can't stand hot oil or heat. My style oil filter cleans all oil that is sent to the filter, 5/16 in and out and helps to cool the oil by 10 degrees. E-mail me for info and a picture of my oil filter set up. hetwaltmordenti@aol.com Drop the het as that is there to fool the computers that pick up addresses and send junk or spam. Walt Mordenti
