Is it a flat back. I think I have a spare but it is in NewZealand but if you are desperate0

Have you tried a "parts wanted" ad in the WTN or contacted various Hudson vendors within the Club? The stuff's out there, but a lot of those folks don't necessarily hang out here at the Forum.0

I have tried everywhere to locate one, this is my last resort before I attempt to make one, I love my Hudson and I am all about original stuff that's why it's such a shame to try and build one. Mine is the coupe.0

Good that you mentioned it's the coupe! Also...is it the trunk or rumbleseat lid? You said you're tried everywhere...did that include Carl Weber? He has a '35 convertible and might have some ideas on what could be made to fit...who knows!
Here's a long shot:
Evidently this fellow bought a mid-thirties Ford coupe and discovered that the decklid was from another car. He posted this on the H.A.M.B. and several people took guesses as to what it was. One fellow was pretty sure it was a '34-5 Hudson decklid. What do you think?
Here's another shot:
(The holes could have been drilled by the former owner who tried to make the non-Ford decklid fit. Hudson wouldn't have had mounting holes. And the handle (probably a Brand-X) is at the bottom in this photo; the lid would have been reversed on a Hudson, with the rumbleseat handle at the top.)
For the entire thread in H.A.M.B., go to http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146029 .
If it looks promising, you could join H.A.M.B. and see if you can PM the guy to find out more. Sounds like he wanted to sell it! Keep in mind that this message is over 6 years old, though.
ALSO, here is the contact info for a fellow who was selling some 1934-35 Hudson coupe parts a couple months ago in Auburndale, Fla., saw this on Restored Classics.com: - nyc@thesportsvan.com or 407-902-79690 -
For some strange reason I think the lid shown is for a '41-47 Hudson Sedan, and it just happens that the hinge locations line up with that of the Ford.0

Yes I have tried everywhere I can think of ?? I am a member on HAMB. I also spoke with the guy in Florida and have tried Carl, no luck. I need the trunk lid but would take a rumber seat cover. The one in the picture is in my opinion a 34/35 hudson terraplane trunk lid, and someone has drilled the holes. I thought about taking a Ford one and rounding the corners, so I have compared and I believe this to be Hudson. Now please dont everyone jump and buy it, I really need one. I will try and find the ad, 6 years ago ???0

send it to Bent metal he would be able to modify it so no one would know
he is a magician with steel

Thank You Jon B, I followed up on the old trunk lid "long shot" from 6 years ago and I have made the purchase, it is a 34/35 Hudson trunk lid.
Thanks so much, I truely appreciate your willingness to help. This is a great example of what this site is all about helping one another. Thanks again0 -
Wow, you were really tenacious in tracking that down! A long shot indeed! Great to hear that you got it, and I'm sure that the guy who sold it, was glad to get a few bucks for it as well. Credit should go to the fellow who replied to the original H.A.M.B. discussion, suggesting it was for a '34-5 Hudson. Had he not done so, that entire H.A.M.B. discussion would never have popped up when I Googled "34 Hudson deck lid". What an ''iffy'' world we live in...0
