Again and again0

Again today0

Are you logging out each time you leave? You needn't do that- I just click the red X in the upper right corner, and I stay logged in, I guess, because I don't have to log in again when I come back.0
-
Perhaps its your own computor, if you dont have it allowed to remember certain things (like log in info) it wont,

When you say 'Reset' do you mean having to set a different password each and every visit, or do you simply mean have to type in your username and password?0
-
Mine will stay logged in for a while, but then I have to log in again although strangely it is in the box so I don't have to enter it just click log in. ???????0

ScottyD,
FYI
I click on ClassicCar Icon then THE Home Pg opens, then I select Forum, then it opens but says 'Howdy Stranger'. I can read the Posts but if I want to reply I need to 'Sign In'. At that point it wont reconize my same email, User name, or password, so I click 'Forgot' (even though I didnt forget), requesting a Link be sent to my email that I entered.
Then I go into my email click on the Link ClassicCar sent me then re enter my same Password...After all that I can reply or Post until I sign out then I need to go thru the whole process again. (whew)0 -
I lose my sign in when I shut down my computer, I never sign out. When I try to sign in, I get the wrong password notice, I click "forgot password", go to my email and reset the same password. When I shut down the internet and restart I go through this process again.0
-
I just double click and my name appears , then I click on it and the password appears and I hit log in button . All is remembered in the system or my computor somewhere,
Roger

My issue is same as Ol racer. I don't mind signing in and putting my password in but everytime it says my password is incorrect ?0

Obviously, I can't look into this anymore. But one key thing to remember is that you login with your email address rather than your screen name, in concert of course with your password.
Secondly, Tallent R is right, browsers have a capacity these days to remember your logins (and it sounds like J Spencer has also had his browser remember his ClassicCar logins). If you don't go that way, have a look at www.LastPass.com - it is extremely handy for me, as I have a big range of different logins at hundreds of different sites.
Lastly, it sounds very much like something is wrong with the Remember Password process, which needs to be looked at.
I hope this helps. But I seriously recommend LastPass. It's been a godsend for me - though I still keep a super-secret-very-hidden-very-strongly-password-protected Excel spreadsheet as a failsafe.0 -
No problems logging in here in Memphis. I log in the usual way 1st thing in the morning and, like MikeWA, when I go to another area I don't bother to log out. When I come back here I'm still logged in.

Worked good today I didn't do anything different0

I never have to log in. Each day when I turn on my computer, I am already logged in. I use Google Chrome.0

I should have added that my settings in Google are set using the following instructions (as outlined by Google):
Set browser startup preferences
Do you start your day by checking your email or browsing a favorite website? If so, you should consider setting those sites as your startup pages. Startup pages open automatically every time you open the browser.
Click the icon on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings. If you’re using a Chrome device, click Show advanced settings at the bottom of the page.
In the “On startup” section, choose the options below:
Open a New Tab page: A New Tab page will open up when you first launch Chrome.
Continue where I left off: See pages that were open at the end of your last browsing session. Chrome will also restore your browsing data and session cookies. Session cookies are the information that websites can use to keep you logged into sites such as Gmail. This can save you time from logging into your favorite sites every time after you’ve restarted Chrome. However, it’s recommended that you log out of websites when you’re using a public or shared computer.
If you’d like Chrome to reopen all your pages but discard session cookies and other site data, go to Settings > Show advanced settings > Content settings > Keep local data only until I quit my browser.
Open a specific page or set of pages: Click Set pages and enter the web addresses of the pages you want to see.
Hopes this helps. I have several pages setup, so when I clicked to open my browser, these pages automatically come up each time.
