FYI
Last summer at a Cruise-In a guy asked me if I might be interested in an original Factoty Car Cover. His price was really high but I took his number anyway. The guy said bought the coover at an Estate sale. Recently I came across the card with number and called. His price dropped some and I thought may be negotiable (was'nt), so I went to look and naturally, being a long time Hudson enthusiast always looking for something unique or different bought the cover. Its high quality material similar to an expensive Beverly Hills Cover but not lined inside. The Cover must be 60 yrs old with only one short rip. Its so large it completely hides my '37 Hudson on stands. (The passenger side hangs to the floor and have Cover taped to better show Logo).

Does anyone know what it was actually utilized for either by the Factory or Dealers? I suspect it was to hide a New Model until 'unveiling'?
Thanks

I may be sticking my foot into the honey pot, but that emblem (the triangle with the H in it) almost looks like 1930's.
You're probably right in suspecting it was used to cover new models prior to introduction. I say that because I haven't come across any listing in the accessory sections of the parts books I have - tho I suspect having said that somebody will correct me!!!! :D I can only hide behind the fact that up to now I haven't looked all that hard.

Interesting find, I wonder if it was really a car cover? its really big and not fitted...perhaps it was some type of truck or trailer covering they used when transporting parts or cars between buildings?...either way looks very cool for its age!
