Can someone please explain to me just what the hell is it that this guy is trying to sell and
why in the world is it listed in the Hudson section on E-Bay?

Looks to me like somebody had more money than brains, and created a whatzit that this guy found and HE isn't sure what it is.

As far as why it appears in Hudson, a lot of eBay people list their parts as maybe Hudson and other stuff either because they are not sure what they have and hope one of us will straiten them out, or it's generic.

There's so much of this stuff going on that I for one am tired of wading thru it to maybe find a Hudson part I can use, and if eBay doesn't get a handle on it they're going to lose a lot of their clientele, and screw up a good thing.

    Just my rant!

  • How about the knucklehead who lists everything as 'fits Hudson'. lol. What a moron. I agree with Uncle Josh Ebay needs to straighten this stuff out.

As pointed out before, if you type in "Hudson -fits Hudson" in the title box, it eliminates all this crap from the listings. Same in the Essex listings, you get pages and pages of Fox Shorts. type in "Essex, -fox, -fits Essex", and you get one page of all the genuine Essex stuff, apart from Ford Essex V6 and Essex county occasional listings.

Uh, Geoff, I tried Hudson - fits Hudson and got 67,333 hits. Everything from shirts to blankets to Hudson parts. Tried "Hudson - fits Hudson" and got zero hits.
Essex -fox -fits Essex got 17,730 hits.
    What's your secret??

Gotta limit the search to 'eBay motors' or you'll get Jennifer, Kate and Rock too.

As Larry says, ebay motors only. You need to put in a comma and a space after the first word thus: Hudson, -fits Hudson This then eliminates all the generic stuff. And remember to select "Time: ending soonest" on the right hand side.

using "vintage car and truck parts" rather than "ebay motors" eliminates all the fluff..but you will not see vehicles with that search...just parts. regards, tom
