1932 Hudson Coupe Condencation water
Hallo and happy new year !
A lot of work has been done in the meantime to bring it back on the road. Now we have a special problem, perhaps somebody has an advice for me :
We fitted a new heatriser and noticed that the automatic heat control did not work. Inside the housing there was only an axle not moving. We reassembled all, clean the carb...und so on.
Now the engine is very well iddling for a one hour or more nearly noiseless, but - now the problem- a lot of condensation water was inside the carb and the heat riser, so that the engine did not start again and did not accelarate well. We removed the carb cleaned from the water, starts immedialety and runs very well..until it is full of water again. We did not drive it one the road, the hood is removed and it is cold in old germany.
We are not sure what to do, any advice from you is very well appreciated.
Thank you and regards from germany

Hallo Kennth
thank you for the answer, I hope, like you said, when we drive on the road, the condensation water will no more appear, we have to try it. I am not sure how the heat riser system in detail is working, I could not find a picture in the literature. Maybe the exhaust damper assambly is not in function, there is an axle but not moving. If somebody has a picture of the inside of this system I would be very pleased.
Best regards Juergen0
