I am about to detail the engine of my 1951 Commodore 6 Hollywood Hardtop. It is currently silver/aluminum in color and I want to confirm that this is correct. Also, can anyone recommend a high temp paint for this application?

Duplicolor 500 degree engine paint, in "Aluminum" color. Available at most parts stores. Very good match to the original. Don't put it on too heavily --- you want the grainy texture of the cast iron to show.

Ken, it's the DE1615 I've been using. Wasn't even aware of the other one, but have seen some engines that were definitely too "chromey" looking.
