And I'll bet you could have had 'em for a song, and sing it yourself. Great picture.
Maybe you could drop that '50 drop-top off at my place, if its not out of your way. . .0 -
Not one, but TWO step-down convertibles! How about that!?
Actually, though I'm kinda fond of the Oldsmobile . . . third from the right. )0 -
Looks like 1950. Nothing newer.0

IT'S FUNNY TO SEE ANY RAG TOP WITH OUT WHITE WALLS BUT BACK IN THE DAY THATS THE WAY THINGS WERE PLANE NO WINDOW DRESSING0
-
Dang it - I knew I shouldn't of moved to Memphis. Only 25 miles from where I used to live. I'll take the convertible, thank you.

Should have bought one in Pittsburgh in 20040
-
Isnt putting a visor on a convertible like putting a screen door on a submarine?? lol0
-
If you submerge in a submarine with the hatch open, you'll soon have problems . . . but, close the hatch first . . .well, you get the picture.0

That was a great idea, that used car lot in the hotel parking lot. As I recall there were a couple of people trying to buy the cars.

I was 14 when I got my drivers licence (farm use) and I had owned a 49 coupe for about a year. Dad owned a tire recaping gas station combined. I had white walls--big ones! I bought a 49 MG locally for summer use and you could not buy white walls for those small wheels. There is a MG in my shop today--still cannot find white walls. I am not sure how; but, I get buy?0
-
Brownie. you could always paint the white walls on - I believe there is a paint just for that purpose.

Too many projects and not enough time or interest. I figure that whitewalls are like hot dogs. I love them but they no longer give me the pleasure they use to? I can give up the hot dogs for ice cream. (if you missed something in that last thought--think new, fresh chrome)0

That's so weird I used to live right around the corner from that spot on Forest, that building is still there, I used to bank at the Key Bank right across the street!0

I put that on my Hudson National video in 2004 with Dave Sollon and Ken Shulte playing used car salesmen. Funny
