Jet makes web, but not a great reason

They are probably right in their summation. Notwithstanding that, the Jet is arguably the best all-round car Hudson ever produced as far as performance, economy, practicality, space, visibility, and handling are concerned. It just looked so damned peculiar at the time, was too high priced, too early for a compact, and too late for a "new" side-valve six. I much prefer driving my Jet to the Hornet, and passengers find it far more comfortable, and being able to see the road ahead makes it better than the Step-down design.0

At least they acknowledged the 71 SC 360 Hornet wasn't a dog! A buddy of mine had one and he blew the doors off of a lot of Mach I's and Camaro's.
