'35 H8 front & rear springs

I've got the front springs out of my '35 H8 roadster project and pulled them apart to clean them up etc. There's a mixture of leaves, which isn't too surprising on an 80 year old car, some have square cut ends and some have the corners cut off. I've cut the corners back on all the leaves to make them consistent, but out of curiosity did the originals have cut back corners?

I notice all the leaves in the rear springs are square cut.

Bob, all the leaves of all the (original) springs in my '36 had the tapered/rounded ends.

"Roadster project"? Hudson didn't build any roadster body styles after 1933 in the US so what is this?

Still Out There, Hudson did offer a roadster in '34 . . . I've seen a couple of them. One's in Dr. Bob Blake's museum in Allentown, PA. The style is listed in the Standard Catalog of American Cars, 1805-1942.

Thanks, I was aware of the Australian bodies, having owned a Terraplane tourer, and thus qualified my question with "Hudson didn't build..." knowing others in Oz did. The existence of any '34s with Detroit surprises me. Photos? Thanks.
