There was a bill before Congress a short time back that would have made it a crime to wear military adornments that you had not qualified for. This young lady does not win any points from me on this account. Not only is she mixing medals she is wearing some that are rather personal to those who earned them. I would have had a few things to say to her if she would have walked into my squadron area when I was a Military Training Instructor.0

Did a wedding for a French friend with my 54 Lancia a few years back (I live in England but I keep the car in France). Her daughter was marrying a Spanish guy, and he turned up with a busload of very elegant-looking Spanish relations. And they LOVED the Lancia...0

Ever had an older lady say, "I remember one my boyfriend's had a Hudson when we were dating" and then look at the back seat.... )0

I need another trip to France. I also noticed that the Greek girls were special. OK, so part of the reason that I like summer car shows is because of the parade of lovely ladies.....0

I agree with Brownie - and it is a law about mis-represnting military a decorations. Read a story recently where somebody (civilian) was convicted under that law for wearing a Congressional Medal of Honor that he wasn't entitled to.

Jason- Back seat??? The front seat is wider and have you ever sat in the back seat of a stepdown with a visor at a drive-in movie ? You cant see the screen.( I guess thats why I didnt like visors) LOL Anyway I had a older lady, probably my age, come up to me and ask " does the seats lay down on your Hudson?" I told her no that the 55-57 Hudsons did. She smiled and walked away. I wonder what she was thinking? LOL0

Back in the late 60's, my girl (now wife) & I were at the beach enjoying the sights in my 28 Essex Coupe when an older (60's?) couple came along still holding handing hands!
The conversation was along the lines of "do you remember?" with the response "how could I forget".
For those who don't know the Essex Coupe is a tight 2 person wide!!0 -
I liked the cars with the assist straps over the doors - get your girl..............never mind, this is a family oriented format.

Yah! isnt it amazing how each generation thinks they are the ones to discover the "S" word . In truth only the names and faces change through ;the years. I do have a question about the younger generation and todays cars vs the cars we drove. How do they---well you get the idea. LOL0

Alex, who needs that? My seat just folds down.0

The picture of the '54 coupe was taken at the Frank Marrata car show in Springfield, MA. Doug did you get the application to join the National and New Engalnd Chapter of the HET, I left for you. We are a great club and a fantastic chapter. You need to join if you haven't already
My son Matt' s shop "New England Speed and Custom" had the '66 custom Chevy C10 pick up there. They won best truck in show and best paint on a truck. Nice truck even if it's not a Hudson.0
