This would be a two lever trans? What is the price and where are you located?
  • YES IT IS A TWO LEVER TRANS,COMPLETE WITH SOLINOID AND LINKAGE AND FLYWHEEL,PRICE IS $325 PLUS SHIPING, I,AM IN WISCONSIN BY MILWAUKEE
  • I've seen this Hudson transmission for sale by "hudnut52" a number of times at some southern Wisconsin swap meets (just a few weeks ago at the West Bend, WI swap meet). It does appear to be in very good condition on the outside and I wouldn't be surprised if it's just as good on the inside.

I, myself, have been tempted to purchase it as a spare, but the twin lever transmission on my '53 Super Wasp has less than 53,000 miles so I figure I'm in pretty good shape transmission wise.
  • I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON GETTING MY 52 HORNET READY FOR OUR TRIP TO YELLOWSTONE BUT I FOUND THE HEAD IS CRACKED . I,AM ON MY THIRD HEAD.?
  • NO THE FIRST TIME WAS BETWEEN THREE AND FOUR AND THE HEAD WAS AT 1.940 I THINK THAT IS THE LIMIT.
  • YES THE BLOCK WAS RECERFICED WHEN IT WAS REBUILT AS WAS THE HEAD CHECKED FOR CRACKS
  • Somewhere it seems I saw a chart showing the holes were progressively bigger in small increments . From the middle out for just the type of thing you mention , cant find where I saw this ,

  • MY FIRST HEAD WAS A SUPER POWERDOME CAST IRON HEAD WITH THE LARGER HOLES,AND THE BLOCK HAS HALF INCH STUDS.THE SECOND HEAD IS A STOCK 308 HEAD WITH THE HOLES DRILLED OUT 1/32ND OVER 1/2
