Yes Superdave. It's been for sale since a few weeks. I knew your asking price and I liked your car a lot. The only thing that prevented me to make you an offer in Gettysburg was that I already made an offer on a house... I was shocked when I saw the asking price of that company. Now I know that when I will see a car for sale from them, I will have to take off 40% to begin the negociations! Hope to see your convertible one day. Michel0

Shouldn't it be a Super 6 with Commodore trim like you described Dave, not a Commodore 6 like it is listed?0

Yep That's what it is A Super with lotsa Comodore stuff. I sent them an email to tell them but the ad now says Super and Commodore.. Oh well...Some fool will come along and make an offer.. Then find out what he REALLY BOUGHT.
When I get my 49 two door done I won't sell it .. I learned a valuable lesson. I'll build another driver. No more trailer queens for me.0 -

Michel, Russ,
I tried selling it at G'Burg. for 20K didn't get one question.. Nada nothing! It was also listed here on the forum. So I offered it at a local show and sold for $18,000. Much less than my investment, but I never thought of it as an investment. I enjoyed every bit of the rebuilding. So.. !8 was a what it was worth.. I was willing to buy it back after a few months for the same amount..But I didn't ask him if he wanted to sell it. I guess his motive was to make a buck. Profit isn't a four letter word. I did waste my money in signing him up in the HET and local chapter though. Oh well... I tried. Maybe it will go to a good HET home this time. mean time, my 8 engine out of the convertible is still in the machine shop in St. Pete. and my progress on the basket case two door progresses. I did get a great set of door hinges from Don in Colorado so I can hang my doors as soon as I repair them.0 -
@ Dave: If I remember well, I think it went in an auction after you sold it. At the time, I thought you had put it yourself there. I'm surprised nobody asked about it in Gettysburg. From what I knew it was a great cruiser. Like you said, let's hope it goes to a great HET home. Michel0

Michel, Do you recall which auction it was? I would like to research it and keep a record of the cars travels. I misused the forum again by clicking on your name and clicking "send 54SuperWasp a message". I guess that's a No-No. Got chastised again. I can't understand why its there if you shouldn't use it ????? Ok it's not private.. I wouldn't write something that would offend anyone anyway .. Just thought I wouldn't take up forum space with trivial stuff. My bad..
See ya on the HET forum.0
