This convertible is part of the Nethercutt collection in LA and has been for a long time. Never seen it in person, but it used to be the background on my desktop.

I did see it, and it is beautiful. If you ever get a chance to go to the Nethercutt, don't pass it up. It is a great museum. The 52 Hornet is one of only a few post war cars. There are two buildings across the street from each other. Also there is a guided tour of their restoration facility. As an added attraction one complete floor dedicated to mechanical air organs; they are enormous. I believe you must go as a group or make reservations. No shorts for men or women. I believe it is in San Fernando on the border with Sylmar. You LA guys, am I correct? Tucker, Maybach, pre WW1 Renault, Owen Magnetic, just to name a few.

I don't know that area, but I've heard it's "just north" of LA.

Gees, that looks like my old Burgundy '51 Hornet convertible that I drove to Jr. College (now "Community College") in Azusa Glendora late '60s. I wonder if the guy I sold it to eventually brought it up to this standard. The car was capable of becoming that good.
I've toured Nethercutt's collection several times when I lived out there but never saw anything that was not a full Classic car.

    StillOutThere-

You said you had a '51? The one in the museum is a '52 (at least appears to be).
