I'm currently getting new steering boss machined. (The part that the steering wheel screws into and connects to the centre shaft). Polished solid alloy. The originals are pot-metal, and will fail eventually, no matter how good they look. Around $200 each, plus postage, a bit less if we get a reasonable number made. If interested email me direct
