Mounting bracket for 1940 Hudson radio

I need a picture or diagram of the radio speaker as it is installed in the dash. I have an original radio for my 1940 2 door sedan but I don't have a speaker. I can have a speaker made but I need to supply the vendor with a picture or diagram of the mounting bracket. They can make me a speaker but they need to know what the mounting bracket looks like so they can make one to fit into the dash of the car.

I looked at the online Hudson library and there is information about the radio but there are no pictures of the mounting bracket. I know some of you own 1940 Hudson's and I am hoping that some of you have the original radio with the speaker.

As always I appreciate any help.

Hudsonly,

Marvin

    I've got one in the garage and I'll be working on the dash this week so will get you a picture and post it here. I'll email you one if I have your email.

    Well, I've mislaid what was left of the speaker but it mounts from the front of the opening into the 4, #10-32 holes which are 5 inches apart vertically and 9 1/2 horizontally. The speaker should be 6 x 10 to fit the recessed opening around the hole. The speaker can't mount from the rear because the radio bracket is in the way;

    The upper bar mounts to the 2 holes above the opening, and the grill hooks into it and screws into the bottom of the dash with 2 screws, to cover the speaker.

    Uncle Josh,

    I appreciate you taking the time to post these photos and give me the measurements. I will send this to Greg at S & M Electro Tech and ask if this is enough information for him to manufacture a speaker with the bracket.

    Again thanks a lot,
