Fine Tuning...
After rebuilding the carb and putting in new points/condenser, I decided to recheck the spark plugs that I had just put in last summer. They were black and dirty. The carb and bad points apparently killed them. I put a new set in and gapped them per my manual. It's running a lot better now. It still seems to miss a bit until it gets warmed up. Any thoughts?

You could have a bad wire... I had a set of wires on my 54 , when it idled it was smooth . When it was under a load it had a miss... Changed the wires and problem went away...0

That's worth a try. Any particular type or set of wiring that works best with a 6 volt system?

check for manifold leaks. the gasket or a crack could be sealing as it gets to temperature. you just messed with the carb, start there0

Sometimes you can spot a bad plug wire at night in the dark. You may see sparks along the bad spots in the insulation. Depends on type of wire and how bad they are, and you can allways check them with a meter,

A spray water bottle helps locate a bad one , you can mist them one at a time.0

It may be the temperature controlled choke, mine skipped a little till the engine heated enough to totally open the choke. You may have to fine tune the choke spring. J.R.0
