My Mom recently went through her old photograph shoebox and finally found the pics of their new Hudson, so I posted them. Enjoy!

Love these old pictures - the people are usually so dressed up (comparted to todays fashions.)

That's just Dad getting all artistic with the poses he had Mom do! Probably got the idea from the sales brochures he looked through prior to buying it! LOL!

Mr. Burr is right, that's the main thing that stands out in all those older pictures. as a child, i remember my grandmother always wore a dress. just dressed for every day activities was so different than today. i'm just a guilty as anyone, my wife is always scolding me for not putting on clean clothes if i am going out to the store for something.

Clean or "dress up?" When I was a working man, it was suit and tie. That was the standard, no exceptions. Winter wear today is jeans and a T shirt. Or summer wear of shorts and a T shirt. Every now and then I will put on a button-down shirt to go to dinner, but I have no idea how long it has been since I brought out a pair of dress shoes? I guess that is one of the perks of being retired--or old?

I tend to over-dress for events, because I am used to wearing a sport coat (or suit) and tie every day. If someone makes a comment, I just say, "Well, I'm just wearing my work clothes."

Can't get used to church, weddings, funerals, etc. with very casual dress. Did go to a Catholic wedding over the weekend, though, and they still "dress up".

Further, my suit hangs in the closet - last time I wore it was to our 50th class reunion - in 2005!! I still wear my black military dress shoes with that suit - and I've been retired from the military since 1976!!!!! Shoes and tie from my uniform are about all that fit me now.
