What a grand week to buy a Hudson on eBay. There are two 53 Hollywood's (I would love to have both of them) that are both nice cars, I like the brown one--great color--but; the green one is the color of most of my cars; a fantastic convertible, and the white 37. Also a few sedans. No reason what-so-ever not to be driving a Hudson this summer.

the green one would have to be considered the most unique as has stick & o.d., would be a great "driver".
I believe the '53s are the rarest of Hollywoods, not sure why.

I put Roy Marks onto that '51 - it was a resident of Lima OH. A really nice old car as my Son Dave and I had worked on it in the past for the second owner. To bad Roy couldn't have got it before the Lima guy, as it had deteriorated somewhat by the time Roy expressed a desire for a "Hollywood".

we have quite a race going on between the green and the brown car. It is fun to watch. What is not fun is the fact that it will not be going home with me.

It is nice to post the links to the cars you find.

Here are all the Hudsons currently on ebay:

The green one looks great at first glance but I went to his link for more photos and pictures shows the underside of the car has had no attention paid to it and interior photo shows that no one painted the brake /clutch pedals or the heater box and the overdrive knob is rusty. The engine compartment is in terrible shape also. One can only imagine what rust lurks under the paint.

It should be looked over really well by who ever wants to purchase it. Just my observation.

Interesting.. The 54 Hollywood that showed up on the search is even more intersting. In Athens Ga? Last I heard, it was in Tennessee. hmmm..
Also anyone know any history on the 49 convertible for sale in in Smyrna Ga?

The green 53 closed (reserve not met) and the brown one is close to it. Any bets on the one that will bring the highest bid?

It seems that there is again a slowing of sales of nice cars lately on ebay and just in general other places. That does not include the odd ones like the 178K for the sedan last week or the $500K (asking) for the Italia. I have been watching several cars on Craigslist and other places and they are just not selling, even at what I think are reasonable prices.

I find there is a general Lull in bigger ticket items selling - even for fair/ good prices after mid April due to tax refunds being spent last from the week in feb through the end of March. Also, many times people list items for sale after they see a couple comparables go for good money during said time period, and by the time they dig them out, get m cleaned up and running again, the prime time for listing them has passed, and the few serious buyers there were have spent thier money on the previous cars listed or moved onto another type/ brand.

Both good cars and both came in with bids that were understandably no sales. 22 for the green one and 20 for the brown one. I agree that the prices of good cars are reasonable but just no one is buying.

Does someone know the PPG color code for that light yellow/cream? I am restoring my '52 and would like to paint it that same body color with the dark red top.

    Thanks,
    Jairo.
