To write on a picture.
Save picture to your photos.
Open photos and right click on the one you want to write on. A drop down menu will show up. Select "open with", "paint".
That will open the picture up by "paint" and you can do all kinds of stuff to the picture.
After you did what you wanted to the picture, "save" it. Now it will be in your pictures and you can post it.0 -
I think your cruising speed will depend mainly on your rear axle ratio - overdrive also, but that truck axle ratio is intended for hauling with a small engine. Gert0

When I was young we hauled heavy stuff in trucks like this . If you put a ton of gravel in that bed it will carry it just fine (take a look at the springs in the back !).
Any how there is a lot of frame twist and body movement on uneven ground with a load like that in back.
That could be why the running board was not fastened at the back .
Just a thought ,

"Tallent R", that may be true. Except the cars are the same way. They have the running board gap too. It's strange.0

Well so much for that theory :O

Thank you DocHubler. I do have a project like that lined up. But it's about three cars deep in my "to do" list. It's going to be a while.0

In regards to a battery that won't weld the hood:
The standard Group 1 and Group 2 batteries (6-volt) are 9" high, which is too tall for the '46-7's (the terminals will touch the hood). A Group 2L measures only 8" high but I'm not sure whether the other measurements will work: 10.25" long x 6.75" wide. You can buy a "Willard" 2L battery for $259 from Battery Central Mall.com, or a 2LF "Ford" script version for only $209 from Summit Racing.
Of course, Optimas are teeny weeny little things and will fit anywhere, plus they're supposed to be better than the old lead batteries, and you can get a Red Top for only $115 from Amazon.
NAPA makes a 5019L, which measures 8.25" long, 6.75" wide and 7.5" high. Only problem is the cold cranking amps, which measure only 440. (You'd have to phone your local NAPA for prices.) You should be looking in the 650 to 800 range on CCA when selecting a battery. Battery Giant offers one with the number 19L-450, with 450 CCA, for $94.16.0 -
I know this is an old thread, but I am researching this truck for my own rebuild. What happened to all the pictures referred to in the comments?0

If you reverse the battery, so the ground side is next to the hood, it won't zap a hole in it.0
