It's hard to tell if this tire swallowed a watermelon or if it's about to give birth.

This pic came from Lee but he was having problems uploading photos. The car is a '54 hornet.

What's the first thing that comes to your mind? Share your thoughts please :)

Jairo.

I had this 54 Hornet brought to my home on a trailer today. On the trailer the bubble was directy under the rim. I was surprised it didn't pop on the 20 mile ride. Pushing the car like this was challenging but we got it off the trailer and in the yard.

Tomorrow I'll see if it gave birth to a white wall. May have to induce labor. ha ha

Funny, seems like everyone is missing the point. You had a 54 brought to your home. Is this one from George's collection? The coupe or the brougham?

You are welcome to the photos.
    1st picture from yesterday
    2nd & 3rd from today

The old flat tire on the car was inflated to 15 lbs just enough to make it rollable one week before loading on trailer. Tire still holding air and tube not visible day before loading, but became visible next day before loading on trailer.

I have enjoyed reading the funny comments. Makes me laugh. Anyone want a proven durable innertube? ha ha.

That is impresive, that toob must be made out of steel. keep the toob and chuck tire, may roll a little better.

I removed tire today. I was a little concerned it might pop when I remove gas tank. With the wheel off the ground I was able to loosen lug bolts because the bubble is so large it stopped turning when it pressed against the front part of wheel well.

Its alive and well. Wall art!!!

When I went out side to work on the car this morning what did I find? The BANG must of happened while I was asleep. The lenghtly labor pains over the past 11 days are finely over. It gave birth to a beautiful baby soccor ball. The after birth photo reveals the pain it must have indured exiting. Mother tire died in soccor birth. What will happen to this orphaned soccor ball? I'm sure my grandson will teach it how to play the game.

I no longer blow tires up if I can help it. The last one jumped 3 feet off the driveway..and so did I. I try to inflate them now.
  • Definitely looks like a bull frog. Amazing!!!!
