Throwout Bearing Lubrication

Can someone please explain how grease gets from the pressure fitting to the throwout bearing ?
On my '34 it oozes out from the hole on the inside of the bell housing about .75 of an inch away from the bearing housing and short of filling the entire bellhousing with grease, it's not going to get anywhere near it !
Is something missing ?
Also, an unrelated question - who stocks speedometer cables for 1934 Hudson Eights ?

There is a very small hole in the side of the collar that ostensibly lets enough grease into the bearing. But I don't know of anyone who religiously pumps grease into this fitting. I have however come across instances of killing with kindness, where so much grease has been forced in the it blows through into the clutch and causes it to gum up.
The speedo cable is common with Chrysler products at least. have you tried an instrument repair shop (or don't you have those in U.K.)? Where are you located? I'm coming to U.K. in June.
