Nope, not chopped. I measured a stock '49 Merc coupe one time- Hudson side window is 2 1/2 inches lower than the Merc.

The maroon and yellow is a pretty nauseating combination. If you can get past the yellow (and it would have to be repainted, anyhow), and that sad grill, it may have some posibilities. For the street roddingly inclined, of course.

Wonder if the droopy grill is some of the "minor front damage" he talks about.

Sure looks stock to me also, he is probably unaware that is the way they come from the factory. "Factory Chopped"
  • Another one gone!!!! Like the comment above--RIP
  • Dedicated seller forgot to keep finger out of shot# 4. Best of luck to the new unsuspecting owner.
  • You notice people think any Stepdown Hudson is a "Hornet"

To me it resembles a chopped up Merc - somewhat. Which begs the question why do customisers seem to go out of their way to make a Hudson look like a Merc??

Maybe it's price - a Hudson (used) to sell cheaper than a Merc.

That has been on Craigslist here for awhile but with no pictures. I kept meaning call him for pics, I'm glad I didn't now

    $10,000 reserve... for that?!

I'd pay him $500 to fix it and not a cent more!
