I posted this in the for sale section, hope it's OK to post here also. Very nice Hollywood with complete Twin H setup in trunk ready to be installed--even the gaskets! $29500 obo

1953 Hudson Hollywood Hornet Coupe in very good condition. Has it's original famed 308 Hudson 6 cyl. engine that dominated Nascar in the early 50s. Has the full complete original optional Twin H power dual carb. induction system in trunk ready to be installed --(gaskets included). The car runs very good and with the Twin H dual carb installed it will be even better. Pictures speak for themselves, car is in really nice condition and ready to be enjoyed for the upcoming car season.

12 volt electric system with 165 amp alternator, electric auxiliary cooling fan that is thermostatically controlled. twin working fog lights with hudson badge. working Hudson spot light, dash gauges work plus has hang down amp, oil, and temp gauges as pictured. CLOCK DOES NOT WORK. clean under carriage very rust free. trunk is solid with no patches.

If you have any questions please ask as my intentions are to not mislead anyone in any way. If you want to know something just ask and I'll answer the best I can, the car is really nice and ready to enjoy as is. Paint is in good condition, chrome very good, tires new, interior good condition, headliner very good, engine has been rebuilt in last 10 years but no paperwork to show it. I have many, many more photos I can send to your email

This was Tom Finks car. I did a major overhaul of the engine several years ago for Ed Lathrop when he owned the car... Nice car.
  • It does run very good I drove it today about 10 miles and am putting it in the "Goodguys" car show in Nashville, Tn. this weekend May 17-19, it will be in the car corral for sale section.

The Tom Fink name rings a bell- does that car have a Mustang II rack and pinion steering setup adapted to it? If so, it would sure be great to get some pictures of how it is set up, etc.

No it doesn't have a modified steering. Tom did have a stepdown coupe that he used a Isuzu steering. What a mess!! LOL. It worked... sorta.. Turned better to one side than the other.. Tom is a great guy and not afraid to think outside the box, I did adapt a 84 Oldsmobile rack and pinion to a 49.. Worked great but "Never again".. What a pain in the arse. I am now playing with a 69 Torino Power steering adapt to a 49.. I need a challenge.. or I retire.. Maybe I should quit while I am ahead?"" Naw.. quitting is for quitters. I wish I lived a little closer to Tom. We could REALLY get into trouble!
  • price lowered to $27500, need to sell. Drove it to Goodguys car show this past weekend and back. Ran great!
